May 5, 2025

Asheville, North Carolina

The Pine Gate Renewables Community Impact Fund is proud to announce the inaugural Charitable Golf Classic, set to take place on September 24-25, 2025 at the historic Grove Park Inn golf course in Asheville, North Carolina. Proceeds from the event will support non-profits across Western North Carolina as part of ongoing recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene.

Held near the one-year anniversary of the storm, the Charitable Golf Classic will celebrate the resilience of those deeply impacted by Hurricane Helene. The event will bring together community leaders, energy industry partners, non-profits and friends of the Community Impact Fund to rally support and raise critical resources.

“Many communities are still working to rebuild and recover after Hurricane Helene,” said Ben Catt, CEO of Pine Gate Renewables. “This tournament is more than a day on the course – it’s a way for us to rally support, raise funds, and honor the resilience of our community. Through the Pine Gate Community Impact Fund and the support of our partners, we’re committed to helping Western North Carolina recover and thrive.”

Proceeds from the tournament are tax deductible and will go directly to local nonprofits and recovery organizations providing long-term aid, housing and food assistance, and critical community support to areas hit hardest by the storm. To further amplify the impact, Pine Gate Renewables will match all charitable donations raised through the 2025 Community Impact Fund Golf Classic.

The Pine Gate Community Impact Fund invites corporate and community partners to join the cause by sponsoring the event, making a direct contribution, and joining us on the course. About The Pine Gate Community Impact Fund

Pine Gate Renewables has a nationwide presence, but our core mission is to make meaningful local and regional impacts. The Pine Gate Community Impact Fund, our philanthropic and community giving program, began in 2024 as an employee-led initiative in response to Hurricane Helene to support the impacted communities where we live, work and do business. The Community Impact Fund is supported by Pine Gate Renewables and its subsidiaries Blue Ridge Power and ACT Power Services as well as donations from corporate partners and private donations. By investing in projects and initiatives that benefit our neighbors, we aim to create a better future for everyone. We also believe in empowering our employees to make a positive impact by contributing their time, skills, and resources to causes they care about. Eligible organizations are invited to apply for grants that provide measurable, positive impacts to those located in the Hurricane Helene FEMA Major Disaster Declaration areas across the Southeast.
