Located just outside the great city of Bandera, Rio Lago Solar is a 123-megawatt solar project that will provide emissions free energy to the Texas grid, while preserving the natural Texas-beauty and ecosystem in Bandera County.

Preserving Texas Beauty with Low Visual Impact
Rio Lago Solar will blend in with the natural surroundings with a 50-foot minimum setback from property lines and include wildlife fencing.
The solar project will have low visibility from major roads and from the city of Bandera itself, not distracting from the beauty and historical feel of the area.
Once operational, the solar project will emit virtually no noise. From 10 yards away, the sound of the equipment on site is comparable to a typical conversation volume. At a distance of 500 feet, the noise produced is inaudible.
Protecting Texas Land and Wildlife
Pine Gate Renewables will protect and preserve the land on which the Rio Lago Solar Project will exist to help native plants and animals thrive.
We work with landowners and local groups to preserve and protect the land where we site our projects, while maintaining the natural look and feel of area.
