Asheville, North Carolina – Pine Gate Renewables, LLC, today announced the addition of distinguished professionals to the Pine Gate Senior Leadership team under Chief Operating Officer, Kim Osmars. The addition of these accomplished individuals underscores Pine Gate’s commitment to deliver value through the long-term ownership and operation of renewable assets. Pine Gate owns and operates over 2 GW of solar and storage assets as well as provides operations and maintenance (O&M), system control, and asset management services to 5.5 GW of third party solar and storage assets through wholly owned subsidiary ACT Power Services. 

Kim Osmars, Chief Operating Officer: Kim leads a team of safety, construction, engineering, and operations experts that add over ten decades of experience to grow and optimize a multi-gigawatt fleet of operating assets. Kim has over 40 years of experience in renewable energy and held leadership roles at Brookfield Energy Partners including Chief Development Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Senior Operating Partner. 

Alejandro Umaña, Senior Vice President of Asset Management: Alejandro oversees asset monitoring, preventative and corrective maintenance, performance analysis, financial management, compliance and reporting to attain and ensure optimal asset performance. He held previous positions at Brookfield Asset Management and other independent power producers. 

Rizwaan Sahib, Senior Vice President of System Control and NERC Compliance: Riz oversees system control of renewable assets for ACT and Pine Gate. He held previous positions at Brookfield Renewable Partners and led the energy transition practice at BDO. 

Travis Dees, Senior Vice President of Operations Management: Travis ensures the safe field operations of ACT and Pine Gate’s renewable energy fleets through regulatory compliance and process optimization. He held previous positions at Pearce Renewables and Brookfield Renewable Partners. 

Joe Broom, Senior Vice President of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management: Joe drives our team to deliver renewable projects that reflect our shared values of responsible construction practices and operational excellence. He held previous positions at M+W Energy, Moss & Associates, and Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives. 

Dave Ackerman, Senior Vice President of HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment): Dave oversees all facets of worker safety, hazard/risk management, compliance, environmental protections, and asset protection. He held previous operations and HSSE-related positions, most recently at Terraform and New Fortress Energy. 

Kyle Cooper, CEO of ACT Power Services and Senior Vice President of Innovation and Strategy at Pine Gate: Kyle maintains his role as CEO of ACT Power Services overseeing strategic direction and growth of ACT’s third-party business.  As SVP of Innovation and Strategy at Pine Gate, Kyle leads implementation of advancement in operational strategy to optimize performance of the company’s renewable energy assets. He held previous positions in nuclear engineering and control room operations at Duke Energy and led the O&M division at Cypress Creek Renewables.
