ASHEVILLE, N.C., July 28, 2023 – Asheville-based Pine Gate Renewables, a renewable energy company and owner-operator of large-scale solar assets spanning 29 states, was recognized for its efforts to lead the energy transition and expand the U.S. solar market. The company earned the No. 3 ranking on the 2023 Top Solar Developers List, released July 25 by Solar Power World. Most notably, Pine Gate’s Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Brett White, was recognized with the 2023 Top Solar Advocate award.
Brett White was one of four individuals awarded in Solar Power World’sTop Solar Champion category. His recognition as the 2023 Top Solar Advocate reflects his commitment and ability to influence major national regulatory issues. In Fall 2022, Brett authored more than 120 pages of comments to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) addressing transmission planning and generator interconnection, two issues that are pivotal to the future success of the U.S. solar industry. Brett is known for his expertise in supply chain and international trade policy and has been an instrumental resource for industry trade associations.
