The following is a statement from Pine Gate Renewables’ CEO Ben Catt in response to the Department of Commerce’s preliminary determination in the investigation resulting from the Auxin Solar Circumvention Petition:

“Today’s misguided decision from the Department of Commerce will do little to create U.S. jobs and could actually discourage investments in domestic solar manufacturing.  The federal government needs a thoughtful comprehensive strategy for onshoring the solar supply chain, not arbitrary duties and tariffs on imports from certain countries that do nothing but increase electricity costs for American consumers.”
