Maggie Sasser

VP, Government & External Affairs

“I’ll know that I can retire when people get as excited as I do when they see a solar project because they know it’s delivering low cost, reliable clean energy to their community.”

Maggie Sasser, VP of Government and External Affairs, crafts Pine Gate Renewable’s voice and leadership position on clean energy policy across the country and in Washington, DC.  Highly skilled in simply communicating complex energy legislation topics, she orchestrates state, federal, trade association and media relationships to accelerate the national energy transition and optimize community outcomes.

Maggie is a passionate advocate of responsible environmental stewardship and frequent commentator on land use and decommissioning within the solar industry.  Through her various board memberships and as a Stanford University Uncommon Dialogue participant, she regularly collaborates with other industry partners to find innovative options that keep communication pathways in energy legislation open, create common bonds and raise the well-being of all stakeholders of clean energy’s success.

A die-hard Tar Heel, Maggie lives with her husband in Raleigh, North Carolina.  She escapes the day-to-day with roadtrips to Grandfather Mountain or Beaufort, tennis, new recipes, and time out on her North Carolina-made boat.
