Pine Gate Renewables Named One of the “2021 Best Employers in North Carolina” by Business North Carolina Magazine

Asheville, NC (June 1, 2021) — Pine Gate Renewables, a leading renewable energy development and financing company, announced today that is has been named as one of the 2021 “Best Employers in North Carolina” by Business North Carolina magazine and the Best Companies Group. This feat is an added feather to the company’s well-decorated hat, and comes on the heels of its recent inclusion on Inc. magazine’s Best Workplaces list last month. Ranked #10 in the medium employer category (50-249 employees), Pine Gate is one of the 57 companies on the list which identifies, recognizes and honors the best employers in North Carolina, benefitting the economy, workforce and businesses in the state of North Carolina.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements: 

• Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity 
• Be a publicly or privately held business 
• Have a facility in the state of North Carolina 
• Have a minimum of 15 employees working in the state of North Carolina 
• Be in business a minimum of one year 

Companies from around the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the “2021 Best Employers in North Carolina.” The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part included an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings. 

Pine Gate Renewables was selected from a pool of hundreds of businesses in the North Carolina area, following a careful assessment of their performance in the industry, employer relation and satisfaction, and customer review. The renewable energy company deservedly came out top after the analysis of the submission and information from various nominees, reiterating the company’s unique approach to creating a sustainable business environment and a cleaner world for all.
