To date, Pine Gate has constructed over 900 MW of solar power facilities in five states and has over 12 GW of projects under active development. Pine Gate is looking for a VP, Capital Markets and M&A who will report to and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing corporate capital raising and M&A while managing new and existing investor and lender relationships. As part of this position, you will be responsible for evaluating, leading, and structuring corporate and development capital.

What You’ll Do 

  • Leading the raise of corporate and project development capital needed for Pine Gate’s operations
  • Evaluating various corporate and project development financial structures
  • Supporting multiportfolio-level project financings and investments
  • Evaluating, negotiating and closing all corporate M&A activities
  • Serving as an additional subject matter expert with regard to navigating and accessing capital markets
  • Work closely with:
    • Cross-functional senior leadership on the development, project finance, and construction teams to meet capital needs for project development, acquisition, and pre-construction activities
    • Internal and external counsel to structure and negotiate transactions
    • Executive leadership to develop and execute strategic capital initiatives

 Must-Haves

  • At least 5-7 years of relevant project or corporate finance experience working within the U.S. power, oil and gas, or infrastructure sectors
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
  • Deal negotiations with sophisticated counterparties
  • Serving as a primary deal lead on project or corporate-level financing
  • Corporate capital structures and transactions
  • Underwriting and closing solar project finance transactions
  • Being responsible to senior management for transactional profitability and execution quality
  • Working in and understanding renewable energy capital markets, including debt and equity transactions
  • Project finance debt, equity, and/or tax equity deal execution required
  • Solar or renewable energy experience

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in modeling tax equity financing structures
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency with project finance required; familiarity with partnership tax and accounting methods

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.

Working Environment and Physical Demand

  • Travel up to 15%
